5 House Cleaning Safety Tips

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. PLEASE READ MY DISCLOSURE FOR MORE INFO.

Cleaning your home can be easy, simple & safe to do.

With so many products available on the market to use for your cleaning needs, you need to be aware of how to use them, and make sure that you are always keeping yourself and other house hold members safe.

My 5 House Cleaning Safety Tips are:

WEAR GLOVES

If the products you are using are strong, concentrated or have the potential to harm you, wear gloves.

If you have sensitive skin, then you should always wear gloves when using cleaning products.

STORE PRODUCTS SAFELY

If you have children in the home, then you need to make sure you store your cleaning products, up high, in a safe spot where they can not get to it.

If you have pets at home, you also need to store up high in a safe spot.

KNOW YOUR QUANTITIES

Always read the labels. Does your product need to be diluted? Can it be used as it is?

If it needs to be diluted with water, always use the recommended ratio on the label.

FRESH AIR

When cleaning any area in the home, you should always open the windows where possible. If the room you are cleaning has an exhaust fan, then turn it on!

You need to have as much fresh air entering the home as you can.

USE SAFE PRODUCTS

Most cleaning products are a VOC. You can learn more about VOC’s here. Where possible, use eco-friendly cleaning products. The best eco-friendly cleaning products, that actually work, took me a while to find. But now that I have found them, that’s all I use.

They are the products from a wonderful company here in Australia called OzKleen.
